Tie dye Halter wrap top cotton bohemian shabby clothing, shabby chic zen clothing, apocolyptic zen forest monk
Hand dyed 100%cotton fabric. Does not stretch.
Size: adjustable
Bust fits: small/medium 34-36"
The colors on this shabby chic halter top are blues, pink, green and yellow. The technique used is a splatter and shibori. The colors are somewhat muddy giving it a very shabby chic feel.
The top ties with torn and unraveled cotton draw strings and the sewing has a deliberately crude character. This piece is from my 2016 "Unraveled" Collection.
I love to create pieces that are hand torn, frayed, organic and shabby in nature. I myself am drawn to the natural organic zen like structure of the clothing and find it spiritually and physically pleasing to wear!
My pieces are made to be minimal at best and I am just starting to experiment with natural dyeing techniques. As with most of my designs I wish to evoke the spirit of Nature in it's raw and decaying state. I want people to experience the magic or zen in my art.
CARE: wash in cold water twist and hang to dry. The more each pice is unraveled and wrinkled the more beauty each piece exposes.
